You can tap on Dolphins to earn Coins and Pearls. You must have enough Energy (1 unit) available, otherwise there will be a note reading "Out of energy. Tap to get more."
Dolphins are swimming around your Isles from level 6. (Level 8 on Android 3.20.04) If you tap one, the Dolphin will disappear and another will appear somewhere else. By tapping you will earn Coins each time, but only if you are lucky, you will earn Pearls.
Dolphin value
The number of coins won by tapping Dolphins varies, but the number retrieved generally increases as the game progresses. The following is an approximation of how many coins can be gained at each level.
Level 8 - ~17 (and sometimes 1 pearl) (Android 3.20.04 20/12/13)
Level 17. 600 - 1,000
Level 19 - 1,700 - 3,500 (and sometimes 1 pearl)
Level 22 - 2,000 - 4,500 (and rarely, 1 or 2 Pearls)
Level 24. 5,000 - 8,000
